The Republic of Moldova has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) in the amount of US$ 12,000,000 equivalent toward the cost of the Pilot Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The project will include the following components: (a) procurement of water and sewerage networks construction works; (b) procurement of pipes and fittings; (c) procurement of valves.

Procurement of contracts financed by the credit will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits January 1995, (revised January and August 1996, September 1997, and January 1999), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 1997 (revised September 1997, January 1999, and May 2002).

Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and DgMarket and Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova.
